Getting ready for some ice.

I spent the evening spooling up my two Eagle Claw inline ice fishing reels. While I was back in New Jersey I purchased two jigging rods and reels. The combos originally were set up with spinning reels. Both of those reels broke after a short time. I stumbled across these Eagle Claw inline reels. They should prevent line twists and the tangles I would get when would open the bail of the spinning reels. The inlines have a free spool button to drop the lures no matter how light. This is all quite new to me. The season is so unreliable in NJ. The few times I have gone I had major twists and tangle issues. Let’s see if these new reels solve the problem. Now I just need some safe ice.

  1. Ice fishing is huge in my little rural town with two large camps on either end of the river. But there’s not nearly enough ice for a shack. We’re going to be 51 on Saturday. It’s crazy!
