Pittsburg NH

Marylynn and I rented a nice little cabin from Lopstick Lodge right on Perry Stream. Really too early to do much fishing water’s really high and maybe just reached 40°. The Connecticut Lakes are all still frozen. I may drag a few streamers through some ponds that are on the property.

Spring Fever?

Here I am suffering from a bit of Spring Fever. I’m reading nothing but fishing literature, tying flies, and buying equipment in preparation for spring fishing. People from New Jersey are posting pictures of all the trout they are catching.

I woke up this morning to another snowy morning. We had 12+ inches on Monday and a forecast for another 10 inches Friday into Saturday. Mother Nature has waited until the end of winter to hit us with all the snow. I really am thinking of strapping on my snow shoes so that I can get to the river to swing some streamers.

I guess we are empty nesters again

Today Bridget has packed up most of her stuff (65%) and her cat. She is heading to the seacoast. Bridget and Huckleberry Finn have been with us here in New Hampshire for a little over a year. So now it is just Marylynn and me again. Now we have a cool place to visit.
